About Us

Furness Owls is a brand new owl centre created in 2005/06 to help maintain the gene pool of captive bred owls.

This gene pool is very important to the avian world as more and more of the wild birds habitat is being eroded away and as this happens more and more of the owls are becoming endangered.

By creating this owl centre we have a chance to provide captive breeding programmes in an effort to save the more endangered species from becoming extinct.

All the owls are looked after by fully trained and dedicated staff that pamper to their every need (food, water, bathing, Grooming as well as a spot of DIY and decorating!)
